The Society is open most Mondays from 2 to 5 (always best to call ahead) and by appointment by calling President Bob Rafford at home at 203-758-9798 or his cell at 203-206-4717, and you may email him at robraff@comcast.net.

When driving to the historical society, near the Middlebury Green, enter Library Road. The building is on the upper part of Library Road and the driveway is near the building; enter the driveway and enter the parking lot. There are six parking spaces in the back of the building, including two handicap access spaces, and you may park in these spaces.

Historical Items Wanted

We are in the process of compiling a photographic history of Middlebury and welcome any photographs or other historical items. We will be glad to scan them and return them to you or receive them as permanent additions to our collection.

Our collection consists of scrapbooks, booklets, photos, souvenirs, personal items and virtually anything that relates to Middlebury's history

Help Wanted

Many of our members contribute time in collecting, organizing and displaying items of local interest. Currently (summer, 2021), we are recruiting those interested in assisting with our cemetery stone cleaning project.

We are especially interested in those who can assist us with computer digitizing, indexing, scanning and listing items in our collection. Those writing and researching about our history are also of great interest. However, whatever your talents may be, please contact us to register your interest in volunteering.
